Science Journalism

It has become clear over the past few months that the resources required to maintain and develop the awards are not sufficient in order to sustain them going forward. These areas include administration, publicity, application processing and the event-development and management of the related award presentation events. All of these aspects are extremely labour-intensive and far exceed the available resources of the research project.

We therefore had to make the decision that the research project at the UBC School of Journalism can no longer sustain the related awards and as a result the awards program will no longer be operational. Please be assured that this decision was difficult and not taken lightly.
